Where our grapes mature

A workplace in the Valais sun

Over 50 different grape varieties ripen in our vineyards! Of these, 20 traditional and 15 Piwi varieties are cultivated for wine sale. We are cultivating new, fungus-resistant varieties on a trial basis, some of which are microvinified.
Some are very promising for wine production, others are particularly suitable as table grapes. Valais is predestined for trials; its topographical characteristics offer optimal ripening conditions for a wide variety of grape varieties.

Quality wine is created in the vineyard!

We place particular emphasis on natural viticulture. In addition to adhering to the regulations of IP-Vitiswiss and the guidelines of Vitival Valais, we ensure that our work is carried out with the utmost care. All of our plots are naturally grass-covered, and we completely avoid the use of herbicides. For several years now, we have been treating our vines exclusively with natural pesticides. We are also the driving force in Valais viticulture when it comes to natural viticulture with fungus-resistant grape varieties.

Thanks to the planting of robust grape varieties, we are already able to avoid the use of pesticides on half of our vineyard area.

We deliberately take plenty of time for the vineyard work so that healthy and flawless grapes can be stored in the cellar each fall. You can see our conscientious work for yourself on a vineyard hike.
