DIROSO Winery - naturally one step ahead!
We are now in the second generation and are committed to responsible, constructive, and forward-looking viticulture to ensure a real future for our children and grandchildren.
Supporting our winery by purchasing exclusive DIROSO wines also means contributing to a biodiverse ecosystem in the Valais vineyards.
What we have already achieved in terms of sustainability:
- No herbicide use in our vines; all our plots are naturally grassed.
- No fungicide use in our Piwi plots.
- All conventional varieties are treated with organic agents.
- Natural nutrient recycling (sardine, green manure, and grape pomace).
- Use of natural fertilizers and horse manure.
- We rely on resource-saving drip irrigation systems.
- We cultivate our vines by hand, with small machines, and with battery-powered tools.
- Fully integrated production (IP).
- Participation in the program to promote natural biodiversity.
- We are an official partner company of the Pfyn-Finges Regional Nature Park.
- Collaboration with the Sempach Ornithological Institute.
- CO2 reduction program in collaboration with Myblueplanet.
- Swisstainable Level II sustainability program - engaged.
- Planting of native shrubs in our vineyards.
- Active maintenance of dry stone walls in our vineyards.
- Our consumables are always sourced regionally wherever possible. Purchased
- We use the lightest possible glass bottles made in Switzerland* (up to and including bottlings in 2024)
- Our products are only available in reusable cartons or paper bags
- We do not export our products
